Superbowl weekend
My parent's are both from Pennsylvania so needless to say, we are Steelers fan (when the Bronco's or Cardinals aren't playing them!!) so this Superbowl was especially an important one. My sister's husband is a Green Bay fan so we had a divided house but the tension was light. The most important part of the game was of course the food. We have meatball sliders, ham and cheese rolls, fruit tray, veggie tray, cheese and crackers, brownies and rice krispy treats and a delicious cake. It was awesome!! I am one of those people that gets ridiculously excited about food. As long as there is food involved I am in! The kids of course had fun running around and playing and Landon was yelling as loud as he could for the Steelers which was kind of annoying but cute at the same time. He gets excited about football like I do about food. His knowledge of all things football is pretty impressive and his intense love for the game is even more impressive. So to say a good time was had by all is by far and understatement. It would have been better of course if the Steelers won but at least it was a good game. Now excuse me while I go and buy some fat pants.

Superman Girl
Today while driving to work Dylan and I were playing super heroes. We do this a lot to pass the time but today was different. Instead of me being Green Lantern or Superman Dylan told me I was going to be Superman Girl. I have to admit that I am not too familiar with super heroes but I am pretty certain there isn't one called Superman Girl. When I pointed that out to Dylan and asked him if maybe he meant Super Girl he was pretty offended. He was very insistent that I play the role of Superman Girl and who was I to argue, right? He seems to be pretty knowledgeable in this area so I went with it. We never discussed what my super power is but I am pretty sure that the fact that I am a man and a girl speaks for itself. I really wish I had the ability to read minds so I could see what he was thinking about his mom and her lack of super hero knowledge. Maybe tomorrow.
